Chicka Challege

This one of my challenge cards. Who doesn't need a toast once in a while? This toast is to one of my favorite peeps, Dawn! I used the amuse flower drink stamp, amuse favorite peeps stamp plus some brads that I bought while shopping with Dawn.

The next card is an invitation to grill out. All you need to do is add food and cook!

Just back from a wild weekend in Iola for the old car show. Dawn, you would have loved it, cool breezes on Saturday! Our theme was the 50's and we had some very creative costumes. Lots of old cars, cool cars. Some of the cars used in Public Enemies were on display.

So what do you do when you forget your camera?

This is my first 'string quilt'.

I used fabrics from AZ and wanted

to re-create the look of the red rocks

at sunset. Hope you enjoy it.

It's June!

Waiting for warm weather...just not yet. Went to the airport after work today to see Air Force One. Prez Obama was speaking at Southwest High and I was able to get a couple shots.

As I was taking the shot, security came over and ask me to leave. They had gotten word the he was on his way back to the airport. So I stayed to watch.

Almost ready to come home. Two more days in sunny AZ. Hiked Oak Creek Canyon yesterday, 1 hr in , 1 hr out. It was beautiful.

Made it to sunny warm AZ yesterday. Barb and Jim picked me up and we went to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoeniz. Wow, beautiful cactus blooming right now. Enjoy the pics, I did taking them.

I took this picture as the eagle was flying over my house. It is the first time I have seen an eagle in our residential neighbor hood. It was so awesome, with the camera, I could watch him looking for food. Cool!

OK, it's been a while since I've been back. Easter at my sil and bil was so fun. a combination of the families was there and we always have a good time.

I went to the Fiskars warehouse sale in Wausau with my friend Dawn and my husband Don, went stamping with Dawn and am now focusing on getting ready for VACATION!

I leave for Arizona at 6 AM on 4-24. My friends, Barb and Jim are out there and I will be visiting with them. Barb has hiking planned, photography ops, quilting stores lined up to visit. I can hardly wait.

Hope to get back while in AZ!
